Power tillers and other agricultural materials have been distributed among the farmers in Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj district by Dhaka Bank PLC.
Two power tillers were handed over to the marginal farmers from the residence of Abdul Hai Sarkar, Chairman of Bangladesh Bank Association and Purbani Group, in Shernagar village, through former municipal councilor Alam Pramanik on Sunday (March 9) morning.
At that time, Ratul Bhuiyan, founding member of Sohagpur Manab Kalyan Sangstha, Babu Sheikh, Member of Upazila Jubo Dal, Nur Mohammad, General Secretary of local BNP, Rubel Hossain, Member of Municipality Jubo Dal and other dignitaries of the area were present in the event.
It is mentionable that, on February 22 last, Dhaka Bank PLC distributed 30 power tillers, 30 diesel-powered engines and two harvester machines among marginal farmers in different areas of the upazila.
