Gold prices hit a record high in the global market, exceeding 2,777 dollars on October 30. But now the price has come down a bit. The price of per ounce gold in the spot market is at 2,736.41 dollars till 11 o’clock on Sunday. This is a result of the impact of the US election and the easing of tensions in the Middle East.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) determines the price of gold in the local market. The members of the organization said that there is a possibility of price adjustment in the Bangladesh market due to the fall of prices in the world market.
As of October 30, Bajus fixed price of per bhori of 22-carat gold at Tk 1,43,526 which is the highest in the history of the country. Apart from this, the price of 21 carat gold is Tk 1,37,005, the price of 18-carat is Tk 1,17,433 and the traditional gold at Tk 96, 520.
