The prosecution has submitted formal charges to International Crimes Tribunal-2 against Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and six other leaders of the party and its affiliated bodies in a crime against humanity case.

The others leaders are AFM Bahauddin Nasim, AL joint general secretary, Mohammad Ali Arafat, former state minister for information; Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, chairman of Jubo League; Moinul Hossain Nikhil, its general secretary; and Saddam Hossain and Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, president and general secretary of Chhatra League respectively.

Prosecutor Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim disclosed the information in a text message to the media on Thursday.
