Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has announced that his country has launched a “pre-emptive” attack against Iran.
In a statement issued this morning, Katz declared a “special and permanent state of emergency” across Israel in anticipation of potential retaliatory strikes, reports BBC.
According to Iranian media, three explosions were heard in downtown Tehran. The Fars News Agency further reported that several missiles hit the Republic area of the Iranian capital.
