India has extended greetings to Bangladesh and the people of the country on the occasion of Victory Day.

Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishnkar conveyed the greetings on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday.

“Greetings to Foreign Affairs Adviser Mohammad Touhid Hossain, the Interim Government and the people of Bangladesh on Bijoy Dibosh,” he wrote.

Bangladesh is celebrating Victory Day on Tuesday, the most joyous occasion marking the birth of the nation, with elaborate programmes honouring the supreme sacrifice of the martyrs.
