Recently resigned Sheikh Hasina will not return to politics, said her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy on Monday.

Joy made the remark while speaking to BBC in the evening.

During the interview he also said, “She (Sheikh Hasina) is deeply disheartened. Despite her hard work, some people have stood against her, and as a result, she has no desire to return to politics.”

Sajeeb Wazed Joy served as an unpaid advisor on information and communication technology during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure as Prime Minister.

He also mentioned that his mother had considered resigning as early as Sunday.
